My Testimony

My only purpose in life is to reach my Heavenly Father through my Saviour, Jesus Christ. My name is Ron Mahulkar and I have been called by my name to achieve my purpose and glorify His name. This is my testimony.

Born in a well-educated, highly religious Hindu warrior clan from India, it was not hard for me to find out that the knowledge of spirit should be at the forefront of one’s understanding. I began my process, as a youth, to understand the meaning of my life; questions like who am I and why was I born. My logical brain and my science background was my basis to start and this was, to do anything, I need to start somewhere which is my beginning point. John 1:1 (KJV) quotes

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

I started calling the beginning as “God”. There was one God, not many, that was clear to me and to know Him became my goal. As I studied different religions, the road to purpose started becoming clearer and clearer. Every religion has a set of rules, a must to reach the final destination. However, I found out that I always fell short with my past deeds. As a young man, I was after flashy things, after money, I would lie on your face for things that made me look cool, or that’s what I thought, but the worst was that I sought validation from people everytime and hence, I always came short of every religion including Christianity. How can a God who created me and who gave me a sound mind to reason would not want me to succeed? How can there be Heavenly Father, the creator, the author, the origin, the beginning, not be loving? I found that answer in Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV).

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

This verse then lead me to a place in my quest, where Jesus came into picture. For Him to claim to be Son of the Highest of Holies, our Father God, I was ok with that. After all, it is possible to achieve anything for God. But, to acknowledge Jesus as Christ, my Messiah and my Saviour, I struggled with that.

I started to question God on Jesus with my limited knowledge and understanding. But, here’s the thing, Proverbs 9:10 (KJV) says:

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

And Matthew 7:7-8 (NIV) says:

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.”

So, I prayed and I prayed until I got my answer. I believe that there is a hole in our heart that only God can fill. Only when God fills this up, is when we find true peace for eternity. We are all born with a perception of what is right and what is wrong. When it feels right in our heart, that is the right thing to do and to do the right thing is a choice that is given to all of us by our Heavenly Father. Weighing heavy with the sins of my past wrongs that only I had myself to blame for, I trudged cautiously at the start. The only one way for me to reach the final destination, was by the blood of Christ who picked up my cross towards my journey of redemption. For when you know that our Heavenly Father knows us by name and loves us, the evidence lies in His Son who demonstrated love by walking to death on the cross and praying for His persecutors along the way.

I am so grateful for my business mentors who played a big part in this realisation. I am grateful to Christ for sending them, I am so grateful to Father God for sending Christ. Here’s the thing I could not understand, for a man to walk on earth full with love even for every single person who persecuted you, for a man to fulfil all of prophesies written by other people (or prophets) about 800 to 200 years before that man even existed, and for a man to knowingly walk in to persecution of highest torture including death by cross, I thought that this man cannot be of human origin but has to be divine. That was my saviour because I wanted to follow one full of love who brings people of all kinds together in one single tree. That is my Shepherd, that is my lifelong friend and my Way.

Once you have the information, truly, then the responsibility is yours because after finding the evidence, one must take the next step, i.e. to believe. After accepting Jesus as my Lord and my Saviour, the very first thing I found was peace, peace in my soul while my outer world was on fire. It just felt right in my heart. I started gaining more understanding of His sacrifice and the price He had to pay for my sins, but I also held on to His promise of eternal freedom. Christ gave me five tenets or pillars to live my life on daily basis. They are:

These may or may not relate to you, and that is ok. They are very specific to me and how God wants me to live my life. I struggle with these on most days, but I take solace in the fact that Jesus living in flesh amongst us overcame all the struggles that I go through and is right now with our Heavenly Father.

My wife & I will soon be on our way to start a mission in Christ that will open doors of our Lord’s houses for all people, children, elders, anyone including animals, who need a house to rest, warm food and love without any boundaries or judgements. Colour, creed, sex, nationality or one’s past does not matter, neither their religion. Although Jesus was born a Jew, He showed us the way for me and for many others like me who were not of Jewish origins. This is how much God loves us. This mission will be called “Shepherd’s Home on Hill”, God’s calling for us; to establish homes all over the world. A home where there is love, lots and lots of love, which our Heavenly Father’s gives to all of us, through Jesus Christ.

This, then is my testimony that there is only one Almighty God in Heaven who created us and loves us, so much so that He gave up His only Son, Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, that we may bear His name and follow our Christ to live forever with our Heavenly Father!

Maranatha!

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
– Psalm 23:1
